17 December 2017: Almost a year since this project was kicked off, a year seems a long time but it went fast - need to add up all of the hours put in so far! Here we are though nearly Christmas, sitting listening to Christmas songs and thinking when will I get to drive the car?
It doesn't look like I will make that extended target of getting the wheels on before Christmas but I have put two or three heavy weekend shifts in since the last update which has moved the car on considerably. Included now is the front and rear suspensions, front is still minus the kingpins which are being reamed and the rear needs some new axle nuts.
The suspension parts were sent away to a local company for blasting and powder coating. In all instances the parts have come back like new so well pleased with that - I just need to make sure I don't spoil them! There is a lot of sanding though to removed unwanted paint but that par for the coarse I guess.
Merry Christmas, enjoy the images. . . .
